FAQ

  • Do you accept insurance?
“We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tricare Select, Aetna, Cigna, and other commercial insurances. We are also cash-based for wellness services.”
  • Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No, Tennessee allows you "direct access" to physical therapy services, meaning a licensed physical therapist can provide evaluation and treatment without a referral from a health care provider. Some insurance companies may require a referral to physical therapy. If you already have one, please bring it with you it helps us communicate with your current provider.
  • What to expect on my 1st pelvic physical therapy visit?
After checking in with the front desk and (possibly) dropping off your child with our childcare provider, your Pelvic Health Physical Therapist will come get you from the waiting room. During the 50-60 min initial appointment, you’ll have an extensive conversation with your PT about your medical history, goals, and any concerns. Then a physical exam will be performed to assess your strength, mobility, and movement patterns. While an internal pelvic floor muscle assessment is a part of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy, it does not typically occur on the 1st visit, and will only be performed later based on your comfort level. You can also expect education on your body and symptoms, as well as a thorough explanation of therapy diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Is childcare provided?
Yes, we have a childcare provider on site. Childcare is included in your one hour appointment. We do require notice to ensure availability.
